HSG-31105The Grant tank was a derivative of the M3 Lee tank and only differed in the design of the turret for the 37mm gun. The Grant was used with great success by the British Army in North Africa where it was more heavily armed and armored than any other tank they had used up to that point in the war. The Grant and Lee tanks' main feature was the use of a side mounted 75mm main gun and they also carried a turret mounted 37mm gun.
