HSG-7446Kampfgeschwader 77 (KG 77) was one of three Luftwaffe units assigned to initiate Operation Barbarossa in the Eastern Front. Flying Junkers Ju 88s, the bomber wing made its mark on the Soviets' formidable fighting forces. With less than 60 Ju 88s, KG 77 took down 112 Soviet planes and destroyed several USSR supply lines and tank divisions.
