HSG-60515The F-86 Sabre is most famous for fighting against Soviet MiG-15s during the Korean War. However, this iconic aircraft has more stories to tell. During the late 1950s, the Taiwan Air Force received over 320 surplus F-86s and several AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles. During 1958's Second Taiwan Strait Crisis, F-86s were used to deploy Sidewinders for the first time in air-to-air combat against Communist China's MiG-15s and MiG-17s.\
