Kagero Books Top Drawings: Grumman F6F Hellcat F6F3, F6F5 Models

The Hellcat was a very successful design and despite upgrades, the overall appearance didn't change a great deal.  Those little details are illustrated in a series of excellent scale drawings in both 1/72 and 1/48 scales.  It does also include a separate insert sheet carrying the larger 1/48 plan views, along with a small sheet of painting masks for your modeling.  The 1/48 plans usefully provide an alternative scale to help you convert the drawings for 1/24 scale as well.

The other aspect of the book are a series of excellent quality color profiles.  There are one or two versions of the Hellcat available from Eduard models in 1/48 which are very nicely done and the schemes in here may well tempt you.  Excellent quality scale drawings as ever.
