Boxed set containing 4 easy assembly resin model kits. Paper flags sheet with Government flags of Spanish Republic, Catalonia and Basque Country. The model consists of just 10 parts, including an optional turret light. Hard plastic machine gun and four wheels. Assembly scheme on box reverse. Painting scheme based in Vallejo range, on box reverse.
Although initially intended to perform as an anti-riot media for the Guardia de Asalto police, the 1936 right-wing military uprising against the Republic forced to press Bilbao cars into field service as a fighting vehicle, thus filling the Republican armor gap until the first Russian tanks were delivered.
Once withdrawn from first-line service, Bilbao cars still performed efficiently as a scout or patrol vehicles for both sides all throughout the war --for a number of them fell into Nationalist hands.
