Plastic model kit of the B-26B Marauder, an American World War II twin-engined medium bomber built by the Glenn L. Martin Company in Middle River, Maryland (just east of Baltimore) from 1941 to 1945. First used in the Pacific Theater in early 1942, it was also used in the Mediterranean Theater and in Western Europe. Decals and color painting reference for 2 aircraft: ‘The Big Hairy Bird’, 599th Bombardment Squadron, 397th Bombardment Group, 9th Air Force, United States Army Air Force, England, 1944-1945 and ‘Flak-Bait’, 449th Bombardment Squadron, 322nd Bombardment Group, 9th Air Force, United States Army Air Force, Europe, 1944-1945.

Overcoming a challenging service introduction due to its relatively high landing speed, the Martin B-26 Marauder went on to be regarded by many as the finest twin-engined medium bomber of the Second World War, boasting some of the lowest combat loss rates in the US 8th and 9th Air Forces.
