Estimated Shipping: 2-3 Business Days
DML-6498Dragon has produced a number of 1/35 scale kits based on the M48 Patton family of main battle tanks, and one of the more interesting – and impressive in size – was the M48 Armored Vehicle-Launched Bridge (AVLB). Now Dragon is offering a scintillating kit of its successor, the M60 AVLB. Hydraulic cylinders raise the 14.65-ton scissors bridge from the hull, lower it to the ground and then unfurl it, a process that takes just 3-10 minutes. The M60 AVLB was used by the USA in the Vietnam War, as well as throughout the Cold War, before being withdrawn from US Army service in 2003. Other nations such as Israel, Pakistan and Singapore have also used it.
The New M60 AVLB this kit is impressive in terms of its bulk, as well as the level of intricate detail inherent in such a vehicle and the MLC 60 bridge. This terrific kit makes use of an M60A2 chassis and suspension, although the box provides the alternative option of an M60 hull as well. Brand new upper hulls are supplied respectively. To make it even more attractive to modelers, the bridge can be depicted in stowed mode, fully launched or in any intermediate configuration. Such versatility means modelers can emplace the model in a dramatic diorama. Modelers will likely find their bridges burned behind them if they do not acquire this stunning M60 bridge-layer immediately!
