The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG.III) has the distinction of being Germany’s most widely produced AFV of WWII, with 10,619 eventually manufactured. Based on the chassis of the Panzer III, it was cheaper and faster to build since it did not have a rotating turret. One of the StuG.III variants employed was Ausf.B, which mounted a short-barreled 7.5cm gun. This new 1/72 StuG.III Ausf.B has a completely new superstructure and roof, sprocket and idler wheels, engine deck, rear panel and etc. Moreover, like the previous StuG.III, its road wheels, return rollers and track come as a single subassembly for easy assembly.
